2015 in review

What a fabulous year 2015 was!   Wonderful new clients, several hundred animals photographed for local rescue/shelter groups, and a few special projects and events.  So thankful to all of you for letting me photograph your beautiful pets.  Hoping for an even more awesome year in 2016.    Here are a few favorite images from 2015.

Pet Day at Long Branch

Long Branch Plantation in Boyce, Virginia is a beautiful place to visit, with a gorgeous 200-year old historic home and the most amazing gardens, surrounded by rolling hills and farm land for as far as you can see.  It also is a fabulous event venue.  Long Branch recently held its “Bring Your Pet to Long Branch Day”, where pets could stroll the grounds with their owners, have their photos taken, cool off in the kiddie pools, and take home a handmade dog toy and paw print ornament.  SDPP spent the day photographing all the dogs that stopped by, as well as some adoptable dogs that were there for the day with their organizations.  It was a really fun day.  Definitely check out Long Branch if you live nearby or are visiting the area, and make sure to keep an eye out for future Pet Day events.   Here are a few of the cuties that modeled for me.

Meet Abraham

Abraham (“Abe”) is, unbelievably, looking for a new home.  This Collie boy is not only gorgeous and super friendly, but well-mannered and even knows basic commands like sit and shake.   His previous owners had to give him up because their landlord would not permit large dogs.   Seriously, this is one GREAT dog.   Check him out at Paws Crossed Dog Rescue.
